Can I attend Research Conference 2023 virtually, or watch recordings?

No. To create an optimal experience for delegates, Research Conference 2023 is a 100% venue-based event. Selected sessions or conference highlights may be released after the conference, but the entire program will not be publicly available.

Will the Masterclasses be recorded?

No. The interactive nature of our Masterclasses means they are not suitable for recording or catch-up viewing.

Are group discounts available for Research Conference 2023?

Yes. Groups of 10 or more attendees are eligible for a group rate on the conference-only registration option, reducing the individual ticket price to AUD$700 (incl. GST) during the early bird period or AUD$790 (incl. GST) at full price.

Are group discounts available for the Masterclasses?

No. There are no group discounts for any of the Masterclasses.

When do registrations for Research Conference 2023 close?

Registrations for Research Conference 2023 close on 28 August, unless sold out prior.

What payment methods are accepted?

Payment is by Visa or Mastercard. ACER online shop debtor account holders can pay by EFT.

Can the registration fee be invoiced to my school or workplace?

Yes. Schools and organisations that hold a debtor account with ACER can be invoiced. To link your conference registration to your school or organisation’s debtor account, you must first upgrade your ACER online shop account by contacting the ACER customer service team at sales@acer.org and providing the company name, address and best contact details. 

Will Certificates of Attendance be offered?

Yes, Certificates of Attendance will be available upon request after the conference.

Is Research Conference 2023 or the Masterclasses accredited professional learning?

Yes. Research Conference 2023 has received professional development (PD) accreditation from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).

NESA accreditation

ACER has received NESA accreditation for Research Conference 2023. Day 2 of the Conference will contribute 6 hours towards PD accreditation for:

  • Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW
  • Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF
  • Accredited PD that addresses Standard Descriptor 1.5.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

NESA have indicated that Day 1 of the Conference (including Masterclasses) can be logged as an Elective PD. For information about managing your Elective PD, please go to https://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/teacher-accreditation/professional-development/pd-requirements

Delegates who wish to apply for NESA accreditation will receive instructions from ACER after the Conference.

TQI accreditation

ACER has received TQI accreditation for Research Conference 2023. Days 1 and 2 of the Conference will contribute 9 hours towards PD accreditation for:

  • Proficient Teacher Accreditation in the ACT
  • Standard 1. Know students and how they learn (Focus areas 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5)
  • Standard 2. Know the content and how to teach it (Focus areas 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.6)
  • Standard 3. Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning (Focus areas 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7)
  • Standard 4. Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments (Focus areas 4.1, 4.2, 4.4)
  • Standard 5. Assess, provide feedback, and report on student learning (Focus areas 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5)

Delegates who wish to apply for TQI accreditation will receive instructions from ACER after the Conference.
